Self-limiting beliefs (likely adopted from negative childhood experiences/trauma) influence how you think. When you think negatively you feel bad and are more likely to form unhealthy habits to cope.
The outcome of negative coping behaviors confirm your self-limiting beliefs keeping you in the same negative cycles slowly diminishing your self-confidence and self-esteem.
When your confidence and self-esteem is low, being positive is difficult, you struggle with your goals, even connecting can be a challenge.
Self-awareness plays a critical role in how you understand yourself and how you relate to others and the world. Research suggests that when you see yourself clearly, you are more confident and more creative. You make sounder decisions, build stronger relationships, and communicate more effectively.
Self-confidence is a belief in oneself, the conviction that one has the ability to meet life's challenges and to succeed. Having a healthy level of self-confidence can help you become successful in your personal and professional life. It can play a role in your motivation to pursue your goals and affect how you present yourself to other people.
Self-esteem is a perception of your value and worth. Having healthy self-esteem influences your motivation, relationships, emotional health and your overall well-being. People with a healthy view of themselves also feel more inspired.

My name is DaMarcus Morton; I’m a certified Coach and graduate of The University of Akron where I studied Criminal Justice/Sociology.
I grew up in low income housing in Akron, Ohio. I have a lot of great memories but there were traumatic experiences that left me with limiting beliefs about who I was and what I could accomplish.
The resulting cycle of negative thoughts, feelings and coping behaviors seemed impossible to escape. I wasn't happy with my life even though I had happy moments in my life.
That all changed in Seattle, when I began working with a team of coaches and counselors who helped me ignite my growth mindset.
Investing in my self-awareness, self-confidence and self-esteem changed my life and my career path.
I started working in Mental Health & Addiction Counseling which eventually lead to Wellness Coaching.
Today, I'm requested by some of he top programs in Los Angeles to coach people recovering from trauma and/or addiction.
I help them take control of their lives using the same strategies you're going to learn.
I even consulted on a NIDA funded project with the prestigious think tank, Rand Corporation.
I am humbled my work has impacted the lives of so many.
